An enduro bike accident off-road whilst on remote trails in Portugal left Mark in a lot of pain and a big problem.

A short holiday in April with friends to complete a four day trail-riding holiday in Portugal left Mark with a broken ankle halfway up a mountain trail. The accident happened when Mark, an experienced off-road motorcyclist, hit some unexpected rough loose ground on a tight twist on the trail. After a 4×4 support vehicle managed to reach them. Mark was taken to the local hospital, arriving several hours later, Mark’s dislocated ankle was broken in three places and needed an emergency operation. This resulted in him being bedbound for three weeks in a Portuguese hospital. However, during this period Mark was able to stay informed and in touch thanks to the new digital operations management system.

Well on the road to recovery

Although the progress is slow, the ankle is getting better and Mark has been able to work from his home office. The new system has made managing the business remotely far easier than the previous production management software. Mark is able to support the team remotely if needed and is managing to catch-up with the quotes from a far.
