Introducing Sean Baker

October 23, 2023

Sean is the new Sales Manager at Cambs Compressors and brings considerable experience to the business. It's one of the final pieces in the jigsaw and will help provide the structure we need to enable us to be more proactive in supporting our customers.

Who knew compressed air was so interesting!

I've known Mark Fryer for many years and have a great respect for the business he has grown in this highly competitive industry sector. There is no doubt that Cambs Compressors are one of the UK's leading solutions providers in technical compressed air. In the short time since joining the organisation I've been on a rapid learning curve about the industry. What's fascinating is the almost limitless boundaries of the sectors it serves. This is only surpassed by the diversity of customers and the variety of applications which Cambs Compressors support.

It's about being more proactive in support of our customers

During my time meeting with customers, understanding what Cambs Compressors do, and listening to both the internal and external audiences, one thing stands out. There is no doubt that Cambs provide a great service, they love their customers and their customers depend upon and love Cambs back. But the one thing which stands out the most is all their relationships are reactive. This has stood all parties in good stead to this point, but Mark recognised the changes coming and that they needed a different way of doing things. People like the fact that Cambs Compressors is an independent company, but the way the larger companies work is more proactive. My remit is to be more proactive for our customers and get away from being reactive, whilst maintaining the care and strong individual relationships that Cambs Compressors has built with its customers over the last 30 years.
